OkGo

OkGo is a great band who has a reputation for creating low budget attention grabbing music videos. The first such video involved some home grown treadmill chorography.

Their newest entry is more in line with "The Way Things Go". It's one thing to setup a Rube Goldberg machine. It's quite another to rhythmically set it to music.

Update: The group responsible for the design and implementation of the device gave a TED talk! Over 85 takes to get it right...

  1. Luke had to watch that several times and he kept saying "Woooooow!" throughout it and clapped at the end every time! I concur.

  2. That was so fun! There's so much crammed in there--like the use of several Thomas the Tank Engine tracks, the reference to their old video--then they smash the tv. I love that there is a pile of smashed tv's in the background to kind of show you that this probably didn't work the first time and had to be done again and again. You have to think they watched a bunch of internet videos and then maybe even recruited some of the makers of internet videos to make this one. Such a nice break from the Hollywood music video set.
