A Drop in the Bucket

My mom sent me this high speed camera video of a single drop of water hitting the surface of a pool. As usual the mundane is turned into the amazing with 2000 frames a second.

  3. You have a slow motion camera at work?

I want a video of a CD in a microwave at 1000 frames a second.

  4. It would be tough to get enough light into the microwave. They need LOTS of light. We will be getting a new camera system here in a while that should be more sensitive. Also, they only have enough memory for about 1 second of video (we use less then a half second). If I have some downtime I will try to do it. I have direct unfettered access to the cameras, unlike the liquid nitrogen.
