There is a meme floating around listing one group's top 50 Sci-Fi/Fantasy books. The idea is you bold the books you've read, strike the books you hated, italicize the books you didn't finish, and star the books you love.

I love the genre. So even though I don't agree with this particular list, I decided to participate. What I discovered is I am woefully behind when it comes to 'the best' novels. In my defense this list leans heavily into the Sci-Fi arena while my tastes lean towards Fantasy.

You haven't read very many of these at all. I'm a little surprised, though you like fantasy more so it's understandable.

Historically I pick books by browsing at a book store. More recently I've been looking at lists to make sure I read the 'Best of'. I have a number of these books on my to read list.
